About the position

The Leasing Agent position at our apartment community in Cleveland, OH, is a full-time role focused on managing leasing activities and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in student housing and leasing, and will be responsible for greeting applicants, scheduling property tours, and assisting in the leasing process. This role offers competitive hourly pay along with commission opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective applicants and schedule property tours.
• Interview prospective applicants and assist in taking applications to secure leases.
• Complete paperwork and computer entries associated with leasing responsibilities.
• Maintain a weekly traffic log of applicants.
• Assist in marketing efforts to promote the property, including conducting market surveys and documenting information about the competition and area amenities.
• Market local businesses and outreach programs.
• Assist in collecting rents, managing delinquents, and handling move-ins and move-outs.
• Work on resident retention and lease renewals with office staff and management.
• Complete service requests from residents and deliver them to maintenance for processing.
• Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing laws, and other relevant regulations.

Requirements

• 2 years previous experience in Leasing and Property Management preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer oriented and efficient in Microsoft Office and Property Management software programs.
• Experience in Social Media Marketing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in student housing (1 year preferred).
• Customer service experience (2 years preferred).
• Marketing experience (2 years preferred).
