About the position

The Leasing Consultant is directly responsible for the leasing of apartments, playing a crucial role in the overall success of the property management team. This position requires a proactive approach to resident relations and leasing, ensuring that all interactions with potential and current residents are positive and professional. The Leasing Consultant will be expected to stay informed about Fair Housing guidelines and adhere to them strictly, ensuring compliance with all regulations. This role involves utilizing effective sales techniques to achieve and maintain optimum occupancy levels by leasing available units and renewing existing leases. In addition to leasing responsibilities, the Leasing Consultant must embody the company's core values, demonstrating loyalty, honesty, moral integrity, and ethical conduct in all dealings. The position requires a commitment to following established company philosophies, policies, and procedures, which are essential for achieving continued success in the role. The Leasing Consultant will also engage in ongoing professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of property management and resident relations. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed. The Leasing Consultant will work in person at the La Porte, TX location and must be willing to relocate before starting work.

Responsibilities

  • Leasing apartments and maintaining optimum occupancy levels.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
  • Sales skills and experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
