About the position

The Leasing Agent at Satellite Management Co. is responsible for leasing apartments to potential residents while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing lease paperwork, ensuring units are ready for showing, and maintaining positive relationships with current residents to optimize occupancy rates. The Leasing Agent acts as a representative of the company, embodying its mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, friendly, and inviting atmosphere at the community.
• Optimize occupancy by leasing available units and maintaining positive relationships with current residents.
• Show available amenities, model apartments, and available units to prospects.
• Process prospect applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and meets company qualifications.
• Prepare leases and move-in packets for new residents accurately and timely.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date files for all residents.
• Maintain thorough product knowledge of the community and competitors.
• Ensure the office environment is professional, clean, and organized.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies with colleagues and the Community Manager.
• Physically inspect property and report any issues to Grounds and Maintenance staff.
• Spiff all vacant apartments to make them rent ready.
• Accept service requests from residents and coordinate with Maintenance staff for completion.
• Answer phone calls promptly and attempt to convert calls to leases.
• Attend work as scheduled to support the company's success.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 to 2 years in sales, customer service, or related field.
• Experience in Residential Leasing/Sales is a plus.
• Previous experience with Yardi Voyager system is a plus.
• Proficient with computers, Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet and email.
