About the position

Mainlander Property Management is seeking a full-time Leasing Agent to join our team in Lake Oswego, OR. As a leader in managing single-family residential homes, we have a successful history servicing the Portland Metro Area. The Leasing Agent will play a crucial role in assisting our Leasing Department, focusing on the rental of our available properties. This position involves promoting vacant properties, providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants, and responding promptly and courteously to all rental inquiries. It is essential that the Leasing Agent ensures all information is current and that their duties comply with housing laws and regulations. The role is set in a fast-paced environment, requiring a detail-oriented and dependable self-starter with excellent communication skills. Daily interactions will occur with potential tenants, vendors, and employees, both in-person and through phone and email correspondence. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, thrive in a team setting, and take direction when necessary. Outgoing personality traits, along with strong organizational and customer service skills, are vital for success in this position. In addition to leasing responsibilities, the Leasing Agent will assist with Front Desk Reception duties, which include answering calls, returning voicemails and emails, scheduling leasing appointments, and greeting customers. This position is primarily based in our Lake Oswego office, but the Leasing Agent will need to travel to various properties throughout the Portland Metro Area. Therefore, reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and car insurance are required. The ideal candidate should also possess a reliable smartphone and must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Priority will be given to candidates with relevant experience in the property management field, familiarity with property management software, strong customer service skills, and proficiency in Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Leasing Department in renting available properties.
  • Promote vacant properties to prospective tenants.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to all rental inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with housing laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date information regarding properties and leasing processes.
  • Assist with Front Desk Reception duties, including answering calls and scheduling appointments.
  • Interact with potential tenants, vendors, and employees in-person and via phone/email.
  • Travel between various properties in the Portland Metro Area.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite.
