Responsibilities

  • Handling leasing to new residents and retention of existing residents
  • Overseeing the work of leasing agents and support staff
  • Collecting payments, including rent collections and late notices
  • Processing court and eviction papers
  • Addressing resident concerns and conducting market surveys
  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly leasing reports
  • Collecting returned checks
  • Enforcing community rules and regulations
  • Maintaining consistent resident retention with a focus on lease renewals and conflict resolution
  • Recognizing opportunities for problem resolution and establishing good customer relations
  • Advising management on trends in customer issues and complaints
  • Collaborating with customers, regional managers, and home office staff

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in property leasing
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
  • Experience with Yardi software
  • Ability to work weekends as needed
