About the position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to manage the leasing process for residential properties at Sandstone Apartments. This role involves ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants, and handling administrative tasks related to leasing. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to effectively manage conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants.
• Manage the application process, including data entry and legal administrative tasks.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and LIHTC guidelines.
• Assist in preparing lease agreements and other necessary documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions and property maintenance requests.
• Collaborate with facilities management to address any property-related issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Utilize conflict management skills to resolve disputes between tenants or between tenants and management.
• Stay informed about local rental market trends to effectively market properties.

Requirements

• Proven experience in property leasing or sales is preferred.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and LIHTC compliance is a plus.
• Excellent data entry skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
• Knowledge of facilities management practices is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective tenant relations.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Conflict management experience is desirable.
