The Leasing Agent position at New View Place involves a variety of responsibilities centered around leasing and marketing the property, assisting the Community Manager in achieving operational and financial success, and ensuring high standards of resident service. This role is considered safety sensitive and requires adherence to designated office hours to maintain effective community operations. The Leasing Agent will support the Community Manager in achieving occupancy and rental goals, maintaining a closing percentage of at least 30%. This includes reaching prospective residents through advertising, responding to inquiries, and conducting property tours. The agent will also assist in the preparation and administration of leasing activities and rental traffic reports, as well as contribute to market studies. In terms of management responsibilities, the Leasing Agent will help promote positive resident relations, handle complaints, and manage rent collections. In the absence of the Community Manager, the agent will supervise and motivate staff to foster teamwork and achieve common goals. The position also requires maintaining the property’s appearance through daily inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal. Customer service is a critical aspect of this role, as the Leasing Agent must ensure that the residential property meets and exceeds company standards for resident satisfaction. This includes being available for emergencies on a 24-hour basis when scheduled and participating in community activities and projects as assigned. The position may also involve performing other duties as needed to support the overall success of the property.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
  • 2-3 years of customer service or related experience.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Reliable means of transportation and proof of personal auto liability insurance.
