About the position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring a high level of customer service while effectively upselling available units. This role requires a strong understanding of property leasing regulations and the ability to maintain positive relationships with prospective tenants.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits.
• Manage the application process, including screening applicants and processing lease agreements in compliance with legal requirements.
• Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite to maintain accurate records and manage tenant information.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the facilities management team to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations.
• Implement upselling techniques to maximize occupancy rates and promote additional services or amenities.
• Stay informed about local housing laws, including LIHTC regulations, to ensure compliance in all leasing activities.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to leasing operations, including preparing reports and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in property leasing or a related field is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and providing a positive experience for tenants.
• Familiarity with legal administrative processes related to leasing agreements is beneficial.
• Experience using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite is an advantage.
• Knowledge of facilities management practices is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
