About the position

FDC Management Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Leasing Specialist to join our dynamic team in Huntington Beach, CA. We are looking for an energetic, professional, personable, analytical, and customer service-oriented leader who is passionate about exceeding resident expectations and providing exceptional customer service. As a leasing professional, you will be responsible for selling and renewing residential apartment leases, focusing on generating qualified prospective residents, touring the property, and following up with prospective residents. You will also prepare lease packages and ensure that all leasing activities align with company policies and standards. In this role, you will lease apartments through various channels, including phone, onsite presentations, and offsite marketing. You will review and complete application and lease documents, prepare community and common areas, and ensure that rental offices are ready for business each day. You will work closely with the Community Manager to oversee day-to-day financials, sales, marketing, maintenance, and administrative operations of the community. Additionally, you will handle accounting responsibilities, including collections and timely processing of deposit accounting. Customer service is paramount in this position, and you will maintain the highest level of service for prospects, residents, vendors, and corporate departments. You will lead by example, monitor tasks performed by staff, delegate work, and provide performance coaching when necessary. This position requires reliable transportation as it involves traveling between two local properties, and you will be expected to work one weekend day and occasional evening hours. The ideal candidate will be an energized self-starter who can complete assigned duties with a level of autonomy and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lease apartments by phone, through onsite presentations, and offsite marketing.
  • Review and complete the application and lease documents.
  • Prepare Community/Common Areas, on-show apartments, and Rental offices daily prior to open of business.
  • Oversee, in conjunction with the Community Manager, day-to-day financials, sales, marketing, maintenance, and administrative operations of the community.
  • Complete accounting responsibilities including collections and timely processing of Deposit Accounting.
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service for prospects, residents, vendors, and corporate departments.
  • Consistently lead by example, monitoring tasks performed by staff, delegating work, and providing performance coaching when necessary.
  • Help ensure that associates comply with time management policies including meal and rest periods.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Manager or Assistant Manager.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation (position is split between two properties).
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be adaptable to changing priorities, as assignments can be altered both at the Community and Regional level.
  • Must be an energized self-starter that can complete assigned duties with some level of autonomy.
  • Must comply with all company policies and initiatives, bringing attention to the Resident Manager any discrepancies in these areas where appropriate.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have strong English speaking and writing skills.
  • Must be able to pass Pre-employment Testing, Drug, Physical, and Background Check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in apartment leasing (1 year required).
  • High school or equivalent education.
