About the position

The Leasing Agent is responsible for managing leasing activities, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with fair housing regulations. This role involves interacting with prospective residents, conducting tours, and assisting with administrative tasks related to leasing and property management.

Responsibilities

• Explaining and signing legal contracts with residents
• Touring and following up with prospects
• Completing background checks and qualifying prospects
• Setting and reaching leasing goals with Property Manager
• Completing market surveys for comparison
• Assisting with advertising and maintaining occupancy
• Coordinating with manager and maintenance for timely repairs
• Inspecting and scheduling repairs for occupied apartments
• Enforcing leases and community rules and regulations
• Planning and assisting with community activities
• Assisting residents with complaints, work requests, and questions in a timely manner

Requirements

• Prior office-related experience
• Customer service or leasing experience
• Computer literate
• Valid Real Estate License
• Experience in Fair Housing regulations
• Reliable transportation
