About the position

We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our real estate property management team as a full-time Leasing Agent. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for maintaining a professional yet friendly work environment. Your duties will include inspecting inventory to ensure cleanliness and readiness for move-ins, answering incoming phone calls, and handling inquiries from prospects and residents. You will greet prospective residents, qualify their needs and preferences, and professionally present available apartments while closing tours. It is essential to maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends, contributing ideas to the Regional Manager for marketing and improving resident satisfaction. Additionally, you will perform outreach marketing duties to drive traffic to the properties. In terms of administrative responsibilities, you will be required to complete all lease applications, process application verifications, and notify prospective residents of the results. You will also handle all lease paperwork, accept rent and deposits, and complete guest information forms on all prospects, ensuring follow-up per policy. Tracking phone and walk-in traffic from Welcome Cards daily, physically inspecting the property, and reporting any service needs to the Regional Manager are also part of your duties. You will organize and file/upload appropriate reports, leases, and paperwork daily, attend company meetings, assist the Manager in preparing daily and weekly reports, and accompany outside vendors on service request calls when necessary. Any additional duties assigned by the Regional Manager will also be part of your role.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional, yet friendly work environment.
  • Inspect inventory to ensure cleanliness and move-in ready quality.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and handle each call whether a prospect, resident, etc.
  • Greet prospective residents, qualify and determine their needs and preferences, professionally present the available apartments, and close your tours.
  • Maintain awareness of local market conditions and trends.
  • Contribute ideas to the Regional Manager for marketing and improving resident satisfaction.
  • Perform outreach marketing duties to drive traffic.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to housing.
  • Correctly complete all lease applications, process application verification and notify prospective residents of results.
  • Complete all lease paperwork including related addenda per policy.
  • Accept rent and deposits.
  • Complete guest information form on all prospects, and perform follow up per policy.
  • Track phone and/or walk-in traffic from Welcome Cards daily.
  • Physically inspect property when on grounds, pick up litter and report any service needs to Regional Manager.
  • Organize and file/upload appropriate reports, leases and paperwork daily.
  • Attend company meetings.
  • Assist Manager in preparation of daily and weekly reports, market surveys, etc.
  • Accompany outside vendors on service request calls when necessary.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by Regional Manager.

Requirements

  • 1 year of leasing experience (Required)
  • 1 year of customer service experience (Required)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to maintain good leasing and closing skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with LITHC/Affordable Housing (Preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
