About the position

Roers Property Management is seeking a dedicated Leasing Agent to join our team in Fargo, ND. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18 to $20, along with a comprehensive benefits package. As a Leasing Agent, you will play a crucial role in our mission of 'building success and stronger communities' by engaging with potential tenants, showcasing our properties, and ensuring a high level of customer service. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term professional relationships with tenants, marketing our properties, and overseeing follow-up programs for prospective residents. A positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork are essential for success in this role. Your primary objective will be to achieve 100% occupancy through effective marketing strategies and a closing ratio of 100%. You will be responsible for answering leasing inquiries, showing units, and providing premier customer service to all residents. Additionally, you will assist in resident retention programs, maintain databases of prospective and current residents, and ensure that all vacant units are ready for move-in. Flexibility in scheduling is required, as you will need to show units at various times, including evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or be working towards a four-year degree, with previous customer service or marketing experience preferred. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are also required, as you will need to travel to various locations to show properties. Responsibilities

• Follow and demonstrate Roers' Core Values when working with team members, customers, and external communities.
• Answer phones in a professional, timely manner.
• Respond to all leasing emails generated through our website or other platforms.
• Lease the community to 100% occupancy through aggressive marketing techniques and achieve a closing ratio of 100%.
• Effectively show prospects units and articulate the benefits of living at the property to various prospects, including students and parents.
• Provide premier customer service to all residents.
• Assist in resident retention programs and events.
• Accept maintenance requests from residents and submit them to the manager and/or maintenance staff.
• Maintain a database of prospective and current residents.
• Maintain traffic logs of tours, telephone calls, information requests, etc.
• Complete market competition studies.
• Ensure each vacant unit is 100% ready for move-in.
• Perform all other duties and requests as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; ideally working toward a bachelor's degree.
• 1 year of experience in customer service or marketing preferred.
• Leasing experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to commute to Fargo, ND.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in property management is a plus.
• Experience in marketing or sales is beneficial.
