About the position

The Leasing Agent position is a vital role within our community, primarily responsible for leasing and marketing apartments while assisting with resident relations. Under the guidance of the Community Manager, the Leasing Agent will engage in various tasks that require a blend of sales acumen and customer service skills. This non-supervisory role is essential for maintaining high occupancy rates and ensuring resident satisfaction. The Leasing Agent will be expected to model and uphold the agency's mission, vision, and values in all interactions with potential and current residents. In this position, the Leasing Agent will perform routine clerical work of average difficulty, which includes employing effective sales techniques to attract potential tenants. The agent will provide guidance regarding rental criteria, ensuring that applicants understand the requirements for leasing an apartment. Additionally, the Leasing Agent will be responsible for reviewing, accepting, entering, and organizing application packets, which is crucial for maintaining an efficient leasing process. Rent collection and the renewal or re-certification of tenant leases are also key responsibilities of this role. The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with Saturday hours from 9 AM to 2 PM. The hourly compensation for this role is $21.60, and candidates must have at least one year of prior experience in a leasing or related role. A valid driver’s license is required, and candidates must pass a background check before employment.

Responsibilities

  • Lease and market apartments to prospective tenants.

Requirements
