About the position

The Leasing Agent at Arbor Properties is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations for multi-family residential apartments. This part-time role involves engaging with prospective residents, managing applications, and ensuring a smooth move-in process while adhering to Fair Housing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all leasing criteria.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on the online system and appropriate reports.
• Inspect models and available market-ready apartments, communicating service needs to the Property Manager.
• Demonstrate community and apartment features to clients and close sales.
• Process applications for approvals, including credit checks and rental history.
• Follow up with applicants regarding application status and ensure apartments are ready for move-in.
• Attempt to close sales with prospects who did not initially close and refer them to sister communities if necessary.
• Complete new resident orientation and assist in monitoring renewals.
• Gather information about market comps for accurate market analysis.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain a positive attitude.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of relevant leasing or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.
• Ability to operate community software and maintain accurate records.
