About the position

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Leasing Agent to manage a property in Sun Prairie, WI, focusing on residential leasing and community engagement. The role involves full-cycle leasing for income-restricted apartments, ensuring high occupancy rates, and maintaining financial health of the property. This position is contract-to-hire, with a potential for commission upon conversion.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicit business to achieve occupancy and rental goals of the property.
• Market the property through advertising and respond to inquiries and property tours.
• Lead property tours for prospective residents, showcasing amenities.
• Manage rent collection efforts, including dealing with delinquent residents.
• Assist in managing the property's budget to increase net operating income.
• Maintain accuracy of resident ledgers and files.
• Inspect units during move-in and move-outs, and walk the community as needed.
• Coordinate community events and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years' experience in residential leasing or as an Assistant Property Manager.
• Experience with full cycle leasing and recertifications within affordable housing, specifically section 42/income restricted.
• Knowledge of government subsidy programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to pass a background check covering the last 7 years.
