The Leasing Agent plays a crucial role in the leasing and administrative support of residential properties. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for a variety of tasks that require juggling multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all leasing activities are conducted efficiently and professionally. The role involves direct interaction with potential tenants, showcasing available apartments, and providing a high level of customer service to current residents. In addition to leasing responsibilities, the Leasing Agent will handle administrative tasks, including processing applications and assisting with recertification files. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to prioritize duties effectively. The Leasing Agent will also be expected to maintain accurate records and assist in various office tasks to support the overall operations of the property management team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service to residents and prospective tenants alike. Responsibilities

  • Field phone calls regarding vacancies
  • Show apartments
  • Process applications
  • Assist in recertification files
  • Assist in administrative tasks in office
  • Provide customer service to residents

Requirements

  • Strong sales skills
  • Proven ability to work with diverse individuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs, Yardi experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize duties, meet multiple deadlines and work as a team member
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through

  • Background in residential housing
  • Knowledge of CA Tenant /Landlord law & Fair Housing laws
  • Bilingual
  • Sense of humor
  • Interest in real estate/property management and non-profit work
