About the position

Ludwig and Company is seeking a Part-Time Leasing Agent for a 232-unit apartment community in Chicago Heights, IL. The role involves assisting the Property Manager with various leasing and marketing strategies, ensuring effective communication with prospective tenants, and maintaining accurate records related to leasing activities. This position is ideal for individuals with customer service experience and a passion for property management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with leasing activities.
• Implement marketing and leasing strategies.
• Tour apartments with prospective tenants.
• Track leasing prospects and manage inquiries.
• Complete lease applications and assist in verification.
• Make recommendations to enhance leasing performance.
• Plan and oversee social programs and events for residents.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of bank deposits and collections activity.
• Assist with rent collections aiming for zero delinquencies.
• Conduct community inspections and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 year of customer service and sales experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 1 year of apartment leasing experience preferred.
• Experience with Project Based Section 8 is preferred.
• Strong filing, computer, and organization skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Tax Credit experience is a plus.
