About the position

The Leasing Agent is responsible for managing the leasing process for residential properties, ensuring a smooth experience for prospective tenants while maintaining compliance with property management regulations. This role involves direct interaction with potential tenants, conducting property tours, and managing lease agreements and tenant inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospective tenants and provide them with information about available units
• Conduct property tours and highlight the features and amenities of each unit
• Assist applicants with the application process and ensure all required documents are submitted
• Conduct background and credit checks on potential tenants
• Prepare lease agreements and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
• Collect rent payments and handle any tenant inquiries or concerns
• Coordinate move-in and move-out inspections with tenants
• Maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and rent payments
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to address any maintenance or repair issues in a timely manner

Requirements

• Previous experience in property management or leasing is preferred
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and guidelines
• Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Strong knowledge of office procedures and administrative tasks
• Familiarity with OneSite software or other property management software is desirable
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
