About the position

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing apartments and enhancing resident relations. This role requires strong sales skills to maintain optimal occupancy and ensure compliance with Fair Housing guidelines. The Leasing Consultant will work closely with the Property Administrator and participate in marketing and advertising efforts to attract potential residents.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the leasing of apartments.
• Develop and improve skills in resident relations and leasing.
• Utilize sales skills to achieve and maintain optimum occupancy.
• Comply with established company philosophies, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain constant communication with the Property Administrator.
• Involved in advertising programs and marketing functions.
• Maintain market involvement using market reports and leasing procedures.
• Participate in the success of the Resident Renewal program.
• Observe and follow Fair Housing guidelines, reporting liabilities as necessary.

Requirements

• Demonstrable skills in leasing, clerical work, and human relations.
• Proficient in using a typewriter and calculator.
• Good telephone skills.
• People-oriented and self-motivated with a positive personality.
• Sales motivated.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sales is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
