About the position

The Leasing Agent at Tesoro Group will be responsible for managing leasing activities for a property in Sun Prairie, WI, specifically focusing on income-restricted apartments. This role requires a proactive approach to achieving occupancy and rental goals while providing excellent customer service to prospective residents. The position is contract to hire, with a conversion opportunity after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Actively solicit business to achieve occupancy and rental goals of the property.
• Market the property through advertising and respond to inquiries and property tours.
• Lead property tours for prospective residents, showcasing amenities.
• Manage rent collection efforts, including dealing with delinquent residents.
• Assist in managing the property's budget to increase net operating income.
• Maintain accuracy of resident ledgers and files.
• Inspect units during move-ins and move-outs, and walk the community as needed.
• Coordinate community events and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years' experience in residential leasing or as an Assistant Property Manager.
• Experience with full cycle leasing and recertifications within affordable housing.
• Knowledge of section 42/income-restricted housing and government subsidy programs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to pass a background check covering the last 7 years.
