About the position

We are looking for a Leasing Agent to join our team! The Leasing Agent will play a crucial role in managing the leasing process and ensuring a positive experience for prospective residents. This position requires a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local laws, particularly Fair Housing regulations, to ensure compliance in all leasing activities. The Leasing Agent will greet prospects and residents warmly and enthusiastically, creating a welcoming environment that encourages potential residents to choose our properties. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for processing and selecting new residents according to the PSDM rental policy. This includes verifying application details and documents, submitting applications to the Property Manager for approval, and notifying applicants of their status while documenting all interactions. The role also involves assisting with marketing efforts, including multiple daily postings on Craigslist, to maintain high occupancy rates. The Leasing Agent is expected to maintain a closing ratio of applicants to first contact above 15%, addressing any objections during property tours and providing constructive feedback to improve the leasing process. Additionally, the Leasing Agent will assist with lease renewal offers, ensuring compliance with local laws and company guidelines. Inspecting each apartment prior to move-in using a checklist is also a key responsibility. This position requires effective oral and written communication skills, a high school diploma or equivalency, and the ability to deliver consistent excellent customer service with enthusiasm. The job also demands physical capabilities such as walking up and down stairs, kneeling or crouching, and standing or sitting for extended periods. Time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential to meet established deadlines. The work schedule for this position is Wednesday to Sunday, with the expectation of working weekends as needed. Requirements

  • Effective oral and written communication required.
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Ability to deliver consistent excellent Customer Service with enthusiasm.
  • 3 years of lease-up experience required.
  • 2 years of experience with Yardi required.
  • 2 years of experience with CRM software required.
  • Ability to commute to Vancouver, WA 98684.
