About the position

The Leasing Agents for Residential Properties in Southern California will play a crucial role in the leasing and renting process for a fast-growing private Residential Property Management Company. This position requires experienced individuals who can maintain professionalism and foster positive relationships with prospective tenants and company contacts while managing various leasing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage leads and potential tenants through networking, cold calls, and referrals.
  • Coordinate with Property Supervisors regarding current and upcoming leasing promotions.
  • Build strong relationships with prospects and follow up to convert leads.
  • Coordinate and arrange showings/tours of applicants with Property Managers.
  • Facilitate the screening of applicants through background and credit checks.
  • Conduct follow-ups, negotiate leasing terms, and prepare leasing documents.
  • Coordinate move-in dates, materials, and other processes; collect rent, security deposits, and application fees.
  • Maintain good relationships and rapport with applicants.
  • Stay updated with current market trends and competition; provide information on properties to management.
  • Attain sales goals/targets and ensure regular reporting to management.
  • Attend to administrative duties, maintain records, and manage lease renewals.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • At least two to three years of real estate property leasing experience.
  • Excellent computer software skills, including MS Windows/Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and web-based programs.
  • Experience in Yardi (or other property management software) preferred, not required.
  • Aggressive sales and marketing ability with excellent negotiating skills.
  • Strong customer service, organization, and time management ability.
  • Highly professional and polished with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must have a valid/unexpired CA Driver's License and a reliable vehicle with current California Vehicle Insurance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management software such as Yardi.
