About the position

The Leasing Consultant/Assistant Property Manager is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining resident relations for multi-family residential apartments. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing leads, processing applications, and executing leases while ensuring compliance with company policies and Fair Housing requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, providing excellent customer service to residents, vendors, and prospects.
  • Greet and qualify prospective residents, tour the apartment homes and community, and utilize closing techniques to secure the lease.
  • Record and follow up on all internet, telephone, virtual, and in-person leads using the provided CRM system.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
  • Process applications for approvals, including credit checks, rental history, and income qualifications.
  • Follow up with applicants regarding status, process lease execution, and facilitate move-in.
  • Assist in securing resident renewals, utilizing company processes and systems.
  • Manage reputation by monitoring advertising sites for accuracy and effectiveness, creating social media content, and generating positive property reviews.
  • Plan, execute, and track outreach marketing efforts to drive qualified traffic to the property and enhance the business reputation in the community.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months experience as a Leasing Consultant in a Multifamily environment.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word and MS Outlook; previous experience with and/or ability to learn and navigate industry-specific software platforms.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and adaptability.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; may include weekends.
  • Professional image and dress required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
