About the position

Mills Properties is seeking a high-energy sales professional to enhance the resident experience by matching potential residents with ideal apartments. The role involves managing the leasing process from introduction to move-in, ensuring exceptional service and communication throughout the resident's journey. The successful candidate will utilize creative marketing strategies to drive property traffic and maintain strong relationships with residents.

Responsibilities

  • Own the leasing process from introduction to move-in, including greeting guests, identifying housing needs, touring the property, and completing lease documents.
  • Manage the renewal process from move-in through renewal, providing ongoing communication and excellent resident relations.
  • Utilize creative marketing and social media strategies to increase qualified property traffic and closing ratios.
  • Inspect units for market readiness prior to showing and move-in, resolving issues with appropriate parties.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail when preparing lease documents, resident files, and other bookkeeping tasks.
  • Maintain positive communications with residents and provide excellent service through timely responses to resident needs and concerns.
  • Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of resident functions.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of the property, other Mills properties, and local competitors.
  • Assist with service requests, package collection, and property cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • NALP certification preferred but not required.
  • Compelling communicator with strong negotiating, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Adept at building relationships and working in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management or real estate sales.
