About the position

The Leasing Consultant plays a vital role in the onsite management team, focusing on generating interest in the community and managing leasing goals such as occupancy and rent growth. This position emphasizes customer service, effective communication, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for prospects and residents. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for conducting property tours, assisting with apartment qualifications, and ensuring a high level of service to maintain resident satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Generate interest in the community by touring the property with prospects and answering questions about amenities and the local community.
  • Drive the sale by highlighting the quality of the community and the lifestyle of an apartment home.
  • Assist prospects in qualifying for an apartment home by collecting appropriate information and initiating background checks.
  • Ensure apartments are prepared for move-in.
  • Deliver unmatched service to residents to exceed their expectations, while maintaining resident retention.
  • Perform required office activities and coordinate paperwork related to apartment home rentals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school education.
  • 1+ years of related experience.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
  • Organizational skills to meet deadlines and follow company policies.
