About the position

Weinstein Properties is seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant to join our team at the Addison at Swift Creek Apartments in Midlothian, VA. As a forward-thinking property management company, we manage over 21,000 apartments across Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and Georgia. We pride ourselves on promoting from within and providing training for management roles. The Leasing Consultant will work weekdays from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, with Sundays off. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $18 per hour plus quarterly bonuses, which are team goal-based rather than commission-based. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with prospective residents, answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and conducting tours of our community. You will process leasing applications, prepare lease paperwork, and assist residents with their needs, including lease renewals and move-out processes. Collaboration with the maintenance team is essential to ensure that apartments are ready for new residents and to follow up on any maintenance requests. You will also be involved in planning and hosting resident activities to enhance community engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a gracious and warm demeanor, a positive and high-energy attitude, and a strong commitment to customer service. You should be self-motivated, have excellent time management skills, and be able to communicate effectively. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be handling sensitive information and ensuring a great experience for our residents. Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective residents and provide information about the community.
  • Answer internet leads and phone calls, schedule appointments, and conduct tours.
  • Process leasing applications and prepare lease paperwork.
  • Request security deposits and ensure leaseholders sign the lease.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and assist with their needs.
  • Collaborate with maintenance to ensure apartments are ready for new residents.
  • Monitor property needs and follow up on maintenance requests.
  • Create a positive experience for residents upon move-in and assist with move-out processes.
  • Post rent payments and follow up on any outstanding balances.
  • Plan, prepare, and host resident activities.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and administrative experience.
  • Experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality environments.
  • Previous property management experience is welcome.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Articulate communication skills and a high sense of urgency.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Good organizational skills and follow-through.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in property management or real estate is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations.
