About the position

The Leasing Consultant plays a crucial role in attracting and screening potential tenants for properties managed by ZRS Management, LLC. This position involves providing information about available properties, negotiating lease terms, and ensuring a smooth leasing process. The consultant is responsible for maintaining high occupancy rates and fostering positive relationships with current residents while working closely with the property manager and team members to achieve leasing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Attract and screen potential tenants for available properties.
  • Provide information about properties and negotiate lease terms.
  • Ensure a smooth leasing process for prospective tenants.
  • Market and promote available properties through various channels.
  • Conduct property tours and respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Prepare lease paperwork and assist future residents with the move-in process.
  • Stay informed about local rental market trends and competitor activities.
  • Participate in property marketing events and outreach programs.
  • Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including preparing reports and addressing resident needs.
  • Explain lease and community policies to new and current residents.
  • Plan and conduct resident functions as directed by the Property Manager.
  • Uphold ethical standards and fair housing regulations in all leasing activities.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • 1+ year of sales or leasing experience strongly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong negotiating and sales abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office products.
  • Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, Onesite, RealPage, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and cope with stress in a composed manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with social media marketing for community promotion.
  • Knowledge of business practices and principles.
