About the position

The Leasing Consultant at Tricon Residential serves as a brand ambassador, playing a crucial role in driving leasing activity within the market. This position involves building relationships with prospects to assist them in finding suitable homes, managing all aspects of marketing and leasing vacant properties, and ensuring high-quality customer service throughout the leasing process.

Responsibilities

  • Create positive and influential relationships with assigned prospects, real estate agents, and brokers.
  • Meet and/or exceed all monthly leasing goals.
  • Manage all leasing functions, including pre-qualifying applicants and gathering complete applications.
  • Oversee lead management within Tricon's CRM Program, including appointment confirmations and follow-ups.
  • Manage individual MLS account activity related to marketing products and advertised specials.
  • Develop relationships with the local community as the brand ambassador for Tricon.
  • Conduct property inspections on aged homes to confirm quality assurance for prospect tours.
  • Perform occupancy checks and assist with inspections as needed.
  • Attend weekly mandatory sales meetings to discuss lead management and property inspection updates.
  • Support the Leasing Manager in monitoring Tricon and other necessary websites for accurate pricing and listings.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of state Multiple Listing Service (MLS) where applicable.
  • Knowledge of Yardi preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic financial acumen and ability to use mobile office electronic tools.
  • Ability to work within a team-structured environment to meet individual and team goals.
  • Ability to reflect company core values in interactions with customers.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • ACTIVE REAL ESTATE LICENSE required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior property management experience, preferably in single-family residences.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
