About the position

The Leasing Consultant at MDE Group is responsible for driving leasing and renewal strategies to ensure high occupancy rates and maximize revenue while fostering resident satisfaction and retention. This role involves engaging in various leasing activities, building strong relationships with residents, and playing a key role in the lease renewal process.

Responsibilities

• Welcome prospective residents and qualify leads.
• Guide tours of the community and showcase apartment homes.
• Process applications and organize lease documentation and move-in packets.
• Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to adapt leasing strategies.
• Utilize property management software for tracking apartment availability and logging leasing activities.
• Inspect leasing areas and coordinate necessary repairs to maintain community standards.
• Communicate effectively with potential and current residents to enhance satisfaction.
• Prepare renewal communications and engage with residents for lease renewals.
• Address resident inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring resolution or escalation as needed.
• Prepare and manage various financial and administrative reports.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• At least one year of experience in leasing, sales, or marketing.
• Strong customer service background.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Skilled in lead generation, presentation, prospect qualification, and closing.
• Proficient in financial and word processing software.
• Strong mathematical skills for managing financial records and budgets.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with internet-based marketing and sales platforms (e.g., Craigslist, Google).
