About the position

The Leasing Consultant serves as the primary point of contact for customers, playing a crucial role in achieving and maintaining occupancy goals. This position focuses on providing an exceptional customer experience throughout the leasing process, from initial tours to move-in and ongoing tenancy support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist manager in marketing efforts, including outreach, preferred employer programs, networking, and social media campaigns.
  • Generate interest in the community by touring the property with prospects and answering questions about amenities and the local community.
  • Familiarize oneself with the IDM family of communities, floor plans, and availability.
  • Highlight the quality of the community and lifestyle available at the apartment homes by focusing on amenities and property location.
  • Facilitate the prospect application process by collecting information, initiating background checks, and maintaining appropriate prospect contact.
  • Provide detailed move-in information to incoming residents.
  • Deliver a consistently high level of service to residents to exceed their expectations and maintain resident retention.
  • Plan and organize office activities and coordinate paperwork effectively.
  • Assist with coordination of work orders and facilitate communication with maintenance staff and management.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years relevant property management experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic leasing knowledge, including Fair Housing Laws.
  • Team player willing to provide concierge-level customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to work weekends.
