About the position

The Leasing Consultant at Cathcart Property Management is responsible for representing the property and securing lease agreements from qualified prospects. This role emphasizes customer service, ensuring that both prospective and current residents feel welcomed and valued within the community. The consultant will maintain a professional atmosphere in the leasing office, inspect properties, and contribute to marketing strategies to enhance resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a professional, yet friendly, atmosphere in the leasing office and other areas where prospective residents and residents meet.
• Inspects models and 'market ready' vacancies daily to ensure cleanliness and submits work-orders for any necessary maintenance items.
• Answers incoming phone calls and handles each call accordingly, whether it is a prospect call, upset resident, service request, etc.
• Greets prospective residents, qualifies, determines needs and preferences, professionally presents community and specific apartments while communicating features and benefits.
• Maintains awareness of local market conditions and trends.
• Contributes ideas to the Property Manager for marketing property and for improving resident satisfaction.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year of leasing experience (preferred).
• 2 years of sales experience (required).
• 2 years of customer service experience (required).
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and property management software such as Yardi.
• Ability to type 30 WPM and be organized.
