About the position

WBP Development LLC is seeking a full-time Leasing Manager for a private apartment home community in Middle Island, NY. The Leasing Manager will provide exceptional customer service to residents and prospective residents, tour prospects, secure leases, and contribute to resident satisfaction and retention. This role involves collaborating with the management team to meet occupancy and revenue goals while engaging in marketing and community events.

Responsibilities

• Welcome prospective residents and provide tours of the community to generate leases.
• Follow up with prospects via email and telephone.
• Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals.
• Play an active role in the renewal process and send out renewal notices to expiring leases 90 days in advance.
• Work closely with the management team to set rents and maintain relationships with local employers for referrals.
• Prepare leases for move-ins and renewals; assist prospective residents with the application process.
• Ensure approved applicants' move-in process is smooth and understand lease terms and community policies.
• Research and produce comparable (comp) reports and knowledge of current market conditions.
• Complete weekly and monthly rental activity reports and assist in processing resident requests, payments, and leasing documents.
• Monitor social media and resident reviews, generating awareness through marketing avenues.
• Collaborate on marketing ideas and assist in coordinating resident functions.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and ensure model apartments are ready for show.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in leasing or sales is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of Yardi and Rent Café is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior customer service skills and a professional attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• NY State Real Estate Salesperson License is a plus but not required.
• Leasing experience is a plus.
