About the position

The Leasing & Sales Agent is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of commercial properties, assisting local business owners in finding suitable spaces, and ensuring effective leasing processes. This role involves high interaction with clients and vendors, overseeing marketing initiatives, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Be the key leasing agent for available properties: book appointments and show properties as necessary.
  • Oversee the proper execution of lease agreements and collection of applications.
  • Design, oversee and drive marketing initiatives for all properties, assess their viability and make adjustments to reach the proper demographic.
  • Receive and review applications; manage to review for approval or denial with a turnaround in 24 hours.
  • Act as liaison between clients and third-party vendors.
  • Coordinate rental space preparation for contractors and sales reporting.
  • File documents, review contracts, and update spreadsheets in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Handle all lease renewals ensuring that renewals are processed prior to lease-end.
  • Update occupancy report and lease renewal information prior to giving to manager for input.
  • Submit a letter within 30 days if the applicant is turned down.
  • Maintain accurate call logs.
  • Work with the Marketing department on scheduled tasks for newly leased properties.
  • Contact vendors to get pricing quotes for equipment and services.
  • Oversee special projects and make property-specific recommendations that will enhance financial performance.
  • Engage in Business Development opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Leasing, Banking, and/or Sales is desired.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen following a conditional offer of employment.
  • A thorough background investigation, including personal and professional references and criminal background, will be conducted prior to the offer of employment.

Nice-to-haves
