About the position

The Leasing Specialist Agent is responsible for coordinating leasing activities between landlords and tenants, ensuring accurate property listings, and facilitating the leasing process. This part-time role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a valid Texas Real Estate License. The agent will handle inquiries, verify tenant suitability, and assist in finalizing lease agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with landlords and other parties involved in the lease to gather necessary property information.
  • Arrange key pick-up and manage Supra lockbox at the property location.
  • Coordinate yard sign posting and scheduling of listing photos.
  • Review and approve lease listings in the MLS to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify home availability, showing restrictions, and preferred contact methods with landlords.
  • Promptly respond to lease inquiries via email, text, and phone calls.
  • Review incoming applications and supporting documents.
  • Share and discuss applicant details with the landlord to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Process employment verification and verify rental history with previous landlords.
  • Assist in finalizing lease terms with the landlord and other parties involved in the lease agreement.
  • Arrange check and key delivery to ensure a smooth move-in process.
  • Follow up with tenant leads.

Requirements

  • Valid Real Estate License
  • At least 1 year experience working in the Houston market as a licensed Texas Real Estate Agent
  • Has closed at least 3 properties
  • Computer literate
  • Familiarity with leasing and fair housing laws and regulations
  • Ability to use or quickly learn real estate specific CRM and marketing/lead technologies
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Professional in attitude and appearance.

Benefits

  • $1,250 monthly salary
  • 25% commission split on the listing/landlord side
  • 50% commission split on the tenant's side
