About the position

The Leasing Specialist at Hoosier Woods Apartments is responsible for managing the leasing process for a 214-unit tax credit property. This role involves engaging with prospective renters, maintaining high occupancy rates, and ensuring resident satisfaction. The position requires a proactive approach to sales and customer service, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to providing quality housing.

Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of the area's market to successfully sell apartment housing to prospective renters.
• Implement creative sales techniques and build relationships with prospects to achieve high occupancy and meet sales goals.
• Understand current market forecasts, including competitor performance and offerings, through monthly market surveys.
• Process all move-in applications and sign leases with new residents.
• Process monthly re-certifications and prepare move-in gifts/packets.
• Create a positive, welcoming environment for co-workers, residents, visitors, and property associates.
• Enter daily activity in Onesite/RealPage software.
• Complete maintenance call backs and outstanding work orders in Onesite/RealPage software.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Section 42 or HUD experience preferred.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and written skills.
• Enthusiasm, good attitude, trustworthiness, personal integrity, and honesty.
• Good human relation skills to interact with residents, peers, and supervisors.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to learn property management software (Onesite/RealPage) quickly.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
