About the position

The Leasing Specialist at Madera Companies is responsible for managing the leasing process, which includes greeting prospects, presenting community features, and securing lease agreements. This role requires effective communication, multitasking, and adherence to company policies and legal regulations. The Leasing Specialist will also maintain awareness of market trends and strive to achieve occupancy goals while providing excellent customer service to residents and prospects.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and present community features and benefits professionally.
• Secure lease agreements from qualified individuals.
• Handle incoming phone calls and respond accordingly.
• Utilize company software for lead generation and respond to leads via email, phone, or text.
• Maintain awareness of marketing and leasing trends to achieve occupancy rates above corporate goals.
• Oversee the completion of lease applications and notify prospective clients of results.
• Manage online applications and execute signed leases using Bluemoon software.
• Inspect community areas and ensure cleanliness of tour paths, models, and market-ready units.
• Assist residents with service requests and follow up accordingly.
• Conduct all business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing, and other relevant laws.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to operate company-required software efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to secure leases and exceed sales goals.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in an organized manner.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sales.
• Certifications such as NALP, CAM, or CAPS.
