About the position

The Leasing Specialist at Maymont Homes is responsible for guiding prospective residents through the leasing process, serving as the primary point of contact. This role involves effective communication with interested prospects, administrative duties related to leasing, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws. The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist prospective residents in finding their new home.
  • Communicate effectively with interested prospects throughout the leasing process.
  • Gather documents and process completed applications.
  • Schedule viewings for prospective residents.
  • Document follow-up with prospective residents in a proprietary database.
  • Process applications, including credit and criminal checks.
  • Compile feedback from self-showings and communicate findings to teams.
  • Collaborate with local market leaders to address leasing issues.
  • Represent Maymont Homes professionally and in line with customer service values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or Communications preferred.
  • 4+ years of leasing experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in multi-family and/or single-family rental homes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in the leasing industry.
  • Effective negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of fair housing and local real estate laws.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Rently preferred.
  • Experience in Grass Roots Marketing.
