About the position

The Leasing Specialist at Woodward Management Partners is responsible for showing and leasing apartments to prospective residents, ensuring high occupancy rates. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, resolving resident complaints, executing marketing plans, and conducting outreach marketing visits. The Leasing Specialist works closely with the Community Director to maintain quality service standards and manage property operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Show and lease apartments to prospective residents to maintain projected occupancy.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve resident complaints.
• Execute a marketing plan and update social media accounts under the direction of the Community Director.
• Conduct outreach marketing visits.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with residents, vendors, and the general public.
• Comply with Federal Fair Housing laws and ADA regulations.
• Communicate with the Community Director regarding issues impacting property operations.
• Ensure the leasing office and model apartments are clean and ready to show.
• Complete applicant screening, process lease paperwork, and collect rental deposits and payments.
• Assist in the renewal process and prepare renewal leases for signatures.
• Maintain knowledge of community policies, specials, and market conditions.
• Conduct outreach marketing and update community social media accounts weekly.
• Regularly shop competitors and update market surveys.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• General knowledge of computers and programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to endure walking, squatting, bending, stair climbing, and prolonged standing.
