About the position
As a Leasing Specialist in New York City, NY, you will be responsible for converting prospects into paying residents by addressing customer inquiries and maintaining optimal occupancy rates across properties. This role requires strong sales and customer service skills to effectively engage with the diverse NYC community and represent the brand.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries from various channels (website, third-party listing sites, social media, phone, text, and email) to convert prospects into paying residents.
- Maintain consistent contact with prospects until they schedule a tour or opt out.
- Schedule and conduct property tours (30-45 minutes), sending confirmation texts prior to each tour.
- Follow up with leads post-tour to encourage application submission.
- Execute timely follow-ups after tours and address objections to assist prospects in evaluating property benefits.
- Create engaging marketing posts on platforms like Facebook and Craigslist to attract leads.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to manage social media accounts, showcasing NYC events and community highlights on Instagram and TikTok.
- Host Open Houses at least twice a month in high-traffic NYC neighborhoods.
- Build partnerships with local businesses, universities, and employers to boost brand visibility.
- Communicate any property conditions or resident concerns to management.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, real estate, sales, or a related field.
- A college degree or equivalent experience.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Familiarity with NYC and its neighborhoods is a plus.
