About the position

The Leasing Specialist at BSR is responsible for leasing and marketing the apartment community, ensuring high customer satisfaction and positive resident relations. This role involves providing information to prospective residents, closing sales, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with leasing paperwork. The Leasing Specialist plays a crucial role in creating an exceptional living experience for residents at Adley at Gleannloch Luxury Apartment Homes in Spring, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Provide information about the apartment and the community to prospective residents and schedule visits.
  • Determine the needs and respond promptly to resident needs and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Quickly close new sales and lease apartments.
  • Use effective sales techniques on the telephone and in person to maximize the conversion of traffic to leases.
  • Effectively explain all lease and community policies to new and current residents.
  • Maintain an accurate and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the community, particularly in areas such as rent and pricing information, vacancies, apartment availability, lease expirations, square footage, etc.
  • Analyze concerns associated with apartments which are slow to lease and offer recommendations to the Property Manager.
  • Conduct follow-up activity with all residents to establish positive resident relations.
  • Accurately and efficiently prepare and assist with all leasing paperwork.
  • Maintain current resident files and accurate records of daily prospect calls and visits.
  • Complete service requests and communicate to service/maintenance department and enter information into the database.
  • Perform clerical functions such as answering phones, typing, and filing as necessary.
  • Follow all policies and procedures defined by BSR REIT.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years sales experience.
  • General working knowledge of computers and computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, Resman).
  • Warm, engaging personality with great people skills.
  • Excellent at both phone and in-person sales.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good organizational skills and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to close a sale and operate general office equipment.
  • Ability to multi-task and commit to high performance in a busy work environment.
