About the position
The Leather Worker Apprentice position at JP Custom Leatherworks is designed for motivated individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a dynamic environment. The role involves various tasks related to leather product manufacturing, including cutting, assembling, and stamping leather items. Apprentices will receive training on the use of specialized equipment and tools, contributing to the production of high-quality custom leather goods for the first responder community.
Responsibilities
- Cut leather parts with a clicker die
- Assemble leather products using a variety of rivets and fasteners
- Stamp leather with embossing stamps
- Complete weekly inventory logs
- Prep leather products for production
- General help around the shop
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be able to lift and move leather and boxes weighing 80+ LBS daily
- Must be comfortable working with your hands
- Must be willing to learn
- Must be a team player
