About the position

The Leave and Benefits Coordinator plays a crucial role in the HR team by managing leave programs and benefits enrollment for employees. This position ensures that all leave requests are processed efficiently and that employees receive the necessary support regarding their benefits. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, enabling them to handle various HR tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage FMLA, STD, LTD, and military leave requests.
  • Coordinate with employees, managers, and medical providers to gather necessary documentation.
  • Track and monitor leave balances and return-to-work timelines.
  • Assist employees with enrollment in medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.
  • Conduct open enrollment meetings and provide guidance to employees.
  • Process benefit changes and terminations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits eligibility, coverage, and claims.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers to resolve issues and process claims.
  • Stay up-to-date on benefit plan changes and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Assist with various HR projects and initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support, such as filing, data entry, and answering phone calls.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with HRIS systems, such as ADP, is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
