About The Position

The Leave of Absence Administrator at the University of Cincinnati is responsible for managing and administering various leave of absence policies and processes, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, university policies, and collective bargaining agreements. This role involves counseling employees and supervisors on leave policies, tracking leave requests, and improving business processes related to leave administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or five years of relevant work experience in lieu of education requirement.
  • One year of human resources experience.

Responsibilities

  • Administer leaves, including determination of leave type, eligibility verification, leave approval, and leave duration.
  • Provide pre-leave counseling for FMLA, Work Comp, and Disability as requested.
  • Identify necessary changes in business processes to ensure efficient and accurate workflow.
  • Utilize HR systems to update data, prepare reports, conduct audits, and analyze data to identify and resolve errors.
  • Update UC Flex; prepare reports and conduct audits; analyze system data to identify errors and resolve.
  • Assist in administration of employee benefits related to leaves, such as Long Term Disability and Life Insurance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery.
  • Maintain and recommend updates to leave of absence policies and procedures.
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Store HR-related documents accurately and timely according to UC's Records Retention Schedule.
