About the position
The Fort Lee Public Schools is seeking a Leave Replacement Bilingual Spanish Teacher for Grades K-4. This position will be available district-wide, covering all elementary schools including School 1, School 2, School 3, and School 4. The role is set to begin on December 19, 2024, and will continue until June 30, 2025. The selected candidate will be compensated with a salary of $60,675.00 from the first day of assignment, along with paid holidays and paid time off.
Requirements
- Must hold a New Jersey Teacher of Bilingual Teacher Certification and Elementary School Teacher K-6/K-8 Certification.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Experience working with elementary aged second language learners is necessary.
- Understanding of Sheltered English Practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of NJSLS is required.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment as part of a team is essential.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
Nice-to-haves
- World Language Spanish Teacher Certification is a plus.
- Dual Certification with New Jersey English as a Second Language Certification is a plus.
