About the position
The Leave Replacement Spanish Bilingual Elementary Teacher is responsible for guiding students in their learning journey by implementing effective instructional practices. This role involves creating a conducive classroom environment, assessing student progress, and maintaining communication with parents, all while adhering to district and state educational standards.
Responsibilities
- Meet and instruct assigned classes in the designated location and times.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning appropriate to students' maturity, interests, and abilities.
- Guide the learning process toward achieving established district curriculum goals.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs of students.
- Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports and report cards as required.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and district policy.
- Adhere to all Board Policies and Regulations.
- Maintain valid certification as required by NYS Department of Education.
- Attend school-sponsored activities as agreed upon with the building administrator.
Requirements
- Valid NYS Childhood Education 1-6 certification is required.
- Pre-K-6 and Bilingual Education Extension preferred.
