About the position
The Leave Replacement Spanish Bilingual Elementary Teacher is responsible for guiding students in their learning process by implementing effective instructional practices. This role involves creating a conducive classroom environment, assessing student progress, and maintaining communication with parents, all while adhering to district and state educational standards.
Responsibilities
- Meet and instruct assigned classes at designated times.
- Create a conducive classroom environment appropriate for students' maturity and abilities.
- Guide the learning process toward achieving established curriculum goals.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media based on student needs.
- Assess student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports.
- Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy.
- Adhere to all Board Policies and Regulations.
- Attend school-sponsored activities as agreed upon with the building administrator.
Requirements
- Valid NYS Childhood Education 1-6 certification.
- Preferred: Pre-K-6 and Bilingual Education Extension certification.
