The Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor, Executive Director position at Troy University is a full-time faculty role within the Leadership Institute of the College of Education. This position is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of the Leadership Institute, which includes the design and implementation of a relevant and practical undergraduate leadership curriculum. The successful candidate will collaborate with faculty and other colleges and offices at Troy University to enhance the educational offerings and ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of students. Additionally, the role involves overseeing summer leadership camps, including activities at the American Village, and participating in the coordination of the annual John Robert Lewis Leadership Lecture, typically held in February each year. The Executive Director will also be responsible for planning and implementing leadership-themed study abroad opportunities for Troy students, collaborating with Global Leadership Ph.D. faculty and students to enrich leadership programs for both undergraduate and high school students. A key aspect of this role is to bring notable leadership guest speakers to the Troy campus regularly, which will enhance the learning experience for students. The position also requires working with the Office of Development to raise funds for the Leadership Institute and presenting leadership lectures to Troy students in conjunction with the Chancellor's Capstone Leadership Class and the Global Leadership Ph.D. program. The Executive Director will serve as an ambassador for Troy University and will be tasked with crafting and implementing a strategic vision for the Leadership Institute. Notably, this position includes a reduced teaching load, allowing for a focus on leadership initiatives and program development.
