About the position

The Lecturer in Broadcast Journalism at Georgia College & State University is responsible for teaching courses in Mass Communication, specifically focusing on Broadcast Journalism. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the Georgia College core curriculum by teaching topical freshman or sophomore seminar courses.
  • Participate in committee memberships and institutional service activities.
  • Engage in public service activities, including consulting work and community organization participation.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. (terminal degree) in the discipline taught at the time of the appointment is expected.
  • Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sports media including broadcast journalism and/or radio/TV sports broadcasting.
  • Evidence of methodological innovation and creative teaching strategies.
