About the position

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of in-class and online courses in construction management, construction engineering, and civil engineering.
  • Focus on courses such as Introduction to Construction Management, Construction Graphics, Construction Surveying, Quantity Estimating, Construction Cost Estimating, and Construction Planning/Scheduling.
  • Assist the department chair in service activities such as accreditation/assessment, student competition, student recruitment, and course revision/improvement.

Requirements

  • Earned M.S. degree in Construction, Engineering, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering by July 1, 2025.
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
  • Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Earned Ph.D. degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
  • Professional experience and expertise in Residential Construction.
  • Teaching experience at a higher education institution.
