About the position
The College of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) invites applications for a non-tenure-track Lecturer position in the Department of Computer Science to begin in the fall of 2025. Position tasks include teaching undergraduate (and possibly graduate) courses in computer science, mentoring and advising students, and departmental service. The position is a 3-year appointment, renewable based on favorable annual evaluations and budget availability. UTRGV faculty are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to student success, contribute to the advancement of the university, college, and program missions, and promote access to postsecondary education for a diverse student body at UTRGV, a leading Hispanic-Serving Institution and emerging research university.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate and possibly graduate courses in computer science
- Mentoring and advising students

Requirements
- Master's in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited university
- Strong commitment to teaching and student success
- Ability to teach a wide range of computer science courses
